Join us on Thursday, February 18th when we learn the secrets to success from some of the past presidents of ISPI-Michigan.
Wouldn't it be nice to know:
- How they keep current in what's hot in the field?
- How they move their clients beyond training?
- What they think about the impact of social media in our field?
- What a "newbie" in the field can do to succeed?
- And more?
Six of our previous presidents have agreed to share their knowledge in a facilitated panel discussion.

About the presenters:
Lisa Toenniges, CPT, M.Ed.
Lisa is the owner of Innovative Learning Group, a company that provides custom learning and performance support services. A dynamic and respected leader, Lisa has more than 20 years of experience in the performance improvement industry and has consulted with numerous Fortune 500 companies. Lisa holds a master's degree in instructional technology from Wayne State University and is currently serving as the chair for the 2010 ISPI International conference.
Ireta Ekstrom, CPT, PhD

Ireta holds both a PhD in Instructional Technology and a Gerontology Certificate from Wayne State University. She has taught at Oakland, Wayne State, Virginia Tech and Central Michigan Universities.
For more than ten years she served on the ISPI-Michigan Board of Directors. At the International level she has served as track chair, proposal reviewer, CPT reviewer and Chapter of Excellence Reviewer numerous times. She also chaired the 2008 ISPI conference.
Harry Lebovitz
Harry Lebovitz, President of Prism Learning Solutions, has been in the performance improvement field for over forty-two years. As one of the earliest graduates of Wayne's IT Department, Harry entered the corporate training world rather than academia.
After five plus years on the inside, Harry was drawn to the business side, eventually starting Prism with partner Tom Buck in 1990.
In the early 70's, Harry was part of the team that built the local chapter of ISPI into a leadership position. But Harry's greatest professional satisfaction comes from knowing how many exceptional professionals spent time in organizations he managed.
Judy Avie
Judy Avie is the St John Health System Vice President of Process Improvement, Care Design and Transformation. Her responsibilities are Clinical Excellence (Quality & Informatics), Clinical Safety Risk Management, Care Management, and the Clinical Foundation Initiative (Electronic Health Record).
As a Green Belt she teaches Leadership Lean Boot Camp. Key projects include Michigan STAARs initiative on reducing avoidable readmission and System initiatives to reduce hospital acquired infections and injuries.
